Who doesn't love a good weekend getaway? We took to the hills—the ones in California, that is—to show off the best summer and pre-fall fashion. Turns out Seattle looks pretty good in Hollywood, Silver Lake, and up in Griffith Park.

Next time you snake off for a big city weekend, you might think twice about packing light because afterall, why shop while you're there when you can shop while you're here? Especially now that so much great warm-weather apparel has been discounted around town.

What lies beneath is especially important on sultry summer mornings. On Chloe: Wolford full-cut Boudoir Control panty (on sale now; see store for details), Wolford. Helmut Lang leather jacket ($1,195), La Ree. On Shane: VPL bra ($85), La Ree. Jean Paul Knott cotton blazer (on sale now; see store for details), Baby and Co. Giada Forte shorts (on sale now; see store for details), Les Amis.

Seattle jeweler Sarah Loertscher crafted these earrings as part of a special runway collaboration with designer Angel Sanchez. Powder-coated brass and stitched one-of-a-kind earrings ($820), sarahloertscher.com

There's nothing quite like the luxury of a wide-open day. Be prepared for whatever comes your way in bold colors and bright prints. On Shane: Red Valentino fit-and-flare dress ($895), Neiman Marcus. Jimmy Choo moto boots ($1,195), Jimmy Choo. On Chloe: Asymmetrical silk top by Northwest native Logan Neitzel (see website for pricing), loganneitzel.com. Lafayette 148 jacquard pants ($398), Lafayette is sold at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Marsell wedge booties with open toe (on sale now; see store for details), Baby and Co.

Punctuate cool neutrals with hot color. Luly Yang party dress (on sale now; see store for details), Luly Yang Couture. Jimmy Choo satin bootie ($950), Jimmy Choo.

Summer layering is all about what you leave off. Luly Yang stretch satin suit (price varies according to custom order), Luly Yang Couture.

Pair texture with texture, sheen with shine. On Chloe: Ralph Lauren high-neck crochet one-piece bathing suit ($116), Everything But Water. On Shane: Stella McCartney metallic thread sweatshirt ($1,000), Neiman Marcus. Sarah Loertscher powder-coated brass and hand-stitched one-of-a-kind headpiece ($2,100), sarahloertscher.com

On Shane: Locally designed Drifting Arrows plunging back-line one-piece ($213), driftingarrows.com.

Simple shapes work best when you're on getaway; accessories with impact are a traveler's chicest companions. On Shane: Maria Calderara silk dress (on sale now; see store for details), Baby and Co. Hand-stitched fabric necklace by Seattle artist Rachel Ravitch ($120), rachelravitch.com. Dosa sheer shirt dress (on sale now; see store for details), Les Amis. Vintage slip, stylist's own.

Consider packing easy separates and going to town with rose gold bling and dazzling accents. Locally made top by Wyatt Orr (on sale now; see store for details), Les Amis. Eddie Borgo necklace ($875) and Iosselliani bracelet ($600), Hitchcock Madrona. Oscar de la Renta gemstone earrings ($175), Neiman Marcus.

There's this way of being boho that's very tough, too—and very Seattle. Go show the world how it's done. On Shane: Locally made wool and silk harem caftan dress by Michael Cepress ($498), michaelcepress.com. Raquel Allegra tie-dyed button-down silk dress ($642), Totokaelo. Wedges, model's own.
