Eskola Wedding at TreeHouse Point

A local couple goes the reality TV route for their one-of-a-kind wedding.

For their April 21 wedding local couple Angela and Adam Eskola—she's a social worker, he's a mechanical designer for Boeing—wanted to go the nontraditional route. Which, to some, might mean having a parade through town with a baton-twirling aunt, but to the Eskolas meant a small service with a treehouse and a camera crew from the Discovery network.

After selecting TreeHouse Point as a venue last fall, Discovery approached the couple about participating on Animal Planet's new series Treehouse Masters, a reality show on which TreeHouse Point owner Pete Nelson tours the country constructing elaborate arboreal structures. Angela, a game-for-anything type, immediately agreed.

For the Eskola episode, Nelson and his crew added a new two-story honeymoon suite to the Fall City bed and breakfast. The show itself, like any reality program, is dramatic—threatening dead branches above, only two weeks to complete the house, will we make it in time for the wedding?!—but the structure ends up as a truly stunning forest retreat with canopy views and an intimate Moroccan-themed living space.

"It was an amazing opportunity to work with the show," Angela told us. "The whole experience was hysterically fun and the treehouse turned out to be more than we ever could have wanted."

See the space come together—the full episode available to watch online. Treehouse Masters airs on Animal Planet with new episodes every Friday.
