We first met local designer Bri Seeley fresh off a Phoenix Fashion Week win in October. Since then she's been busy in her Olympia studio preparing her spring/summer Escape collection for the assembly line and making moves in the digital shopping world with a just-released partnership on

"Part of the 'emerging designers' competition for Fashion Week included presenting my collection certain buyers like Zappos," Seeley told us. "I won the competition, but I didn't find out that Zappos bought my collection until two weeks later. I got the call right as I was set to present Escape in Los Angeles and I screamed and cried so much that I had to rush backstage to get my makeup redone before the runway."

Her 14-piece freshman line of feminine, vintage-inspired womenswear is made entirely in the PNW, and Zappos is the first major retailer to carry the collection.

The partnership is certainly working: The line went live just under a month ago and over one third of Zappos's Seeley stock is already sold out.

Snag your own Seeley piece before they're gone—and before she's gone. The local gal is packing up shop to move to LA. Who knows? You might soon be saying you knew her when. Look for Seeley's spring/summer '14 collection online and on the runway later this year.
