"The colors of her stones are like therapy," Essenza's Becky Buford told us. She's talking about Jamie Joseph's iconic Seattle-made rings, and the emerald, golden feldspar, hessonite garnet, rhodalite garnet, Javanese carnelian, and other gems that are set inside them. 

Each year Buford and her team of chic, friendly, and worldly Fremont shopmates host a trunk show for the jeweler; she says there's always a line up outside when the open sign goes out, and the pre-Mother's Day positioning means there are lots of good vibes. (The goodie bags, sweets, and signature plum and champagne cocktails don't hurt, either.)

And whereas you might encounter a couple dozen Jamie Joseph styles on any given afternoon, there are something like 200 of them there for this special occasion.
