8 Spa Week Deals

No, not every spa is onboard with the official Spa Week game, but some are offering specials just the same.

By Seattle Met Staff April 3, 2012

Yuan Spa’s heavenly hydrotherapy room is included with all their Spa Week specials.

Launched in New York in 2004 as a sort of gooser (okay, incentive) for the spa industry and those that want to love it but are maybe intimidated by price, Spa Week is not exactly a thing and not exactly a non-thing. The basic premise is that participating spas offer at least one service for $50 so that folks can try new places and pampering treatments.

We recommend you don’t get too hung up on the details. It’s kind of like national chocolate-covered raisins day; why not just take the opportunity to enjoy some without getting too intellectual about it.

Spa Week is April 16 through 22; some Seattle-area spas are participating, others aren’t. As it turns out, even those spas that are not offering an official Spa Week special have something discounted or highlighted, so if you’re looking for an excuse to get scrubbed, rubbed, or otherwise served, this would be it. Check out our list and see what strikes your fancy.

Reservations are always a must with this kind of thing, and calendars will fill up fast, so don’t dally. Your best bet is to pick up the phone and call because many spas don’t allow online reservations for their specials and discounts.
