Every year, Uber driver-partners provide safe, reliable transportation for hundreds of thousands of local residents and visitors. Riders count on driver-partners to get them where they need to go, whether they’re ridesharing with uberX on game day or catching UberBLACK for a night out.

A study by Uber and Mothers Against Drunk  Driving (MADD) found that driver-partners are empowering people to make better choices. After uberX driver-partners hit the road in Seattle in 2013, DUI arrests decreased by 10 percent the next year.

Driver-partners are also helping our city run more efficiently by piloting commute solutions like uberHOP. Today, roughly half of Seattle commuters drive to work alone. Enabling them to share the trip has the potential to dramatically cut traffic congestion.

As small business owners, Uber driver-partners have the flexibility to set their own schedule. They support their families and the local economy by keeping our city in motion.
