Life as adult humans can keep us so busy, we overlook (or pointedly ignore) the defining elements of our city. The stuff that draws people here in the first place, the stuff that makes them stay. As Seattle reorients and discovers itself anew after a year of shutdowns, Seattle Met’s editors each set forth to do a local thing for the very first time—we visited landmarks, sampled coffee, and threw dress codes out the window. Then we vowed to never take Seattle for granted again.
