Jerry Cornfield argues that 1st District Congressional candidate John Koster is running into a "headwind" that he didn't create, in the form of public opinion that's currently running 64 to 38 percent against Republicans. However, it's worth noting (as Cornfield does) that Koster, like Rep. Todd Akin, wants to outlaw abortion even for women and girls who are victims of rape or incest.

2. In an attempt to compete with moving-truck companies like UHaul, Zipcar will add 10 cargo vans to its fleet of cars in Seattle, Autoblog reports

The News Tribune notes that recent coal train derailments are raising questions about the wisdom of transporting coal bound for China through the Northwest.

4, The Sacramento Kings, an NBA team Sonics fans once hoped would move to Seattle, may move to Virginia Beach instead under a deal with Comcast to build a new arena there, the Sacramento Bee 
reports.

Wow. Gawker publishes 950-plus pages of documents revealing Mitt Romney's tangle of tax-dodging schemes. One takeaway: "Bain isn't a company so much as an intricate suite of steadily proliferating inter-related holding companies and limited partnerships ... designed to collectively house roughly $66 billion in wealth in its many crevices and chambers."
