1. Last night, as we mentioned in Fizz
, the 34th District Democrats voted to adopt a resolution opposing the proposed arena in SoDo. West Seattle Blog has a play-by-play of the hour-and-a-half-long forum, where the Democrats also adopted a resolution supporting the "modernization" of KeyArena.

2. In line with other western US cities, Seattle grew an impressive 2 percent last year, bringing our population to 620,778 and making us the 22nd-largest city in the nation, the Puget Sound Business Journal 
reports.

3. The Everett Herald reports
that Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon has asked a judge to dismiss a recall petition against him on the grounds that it is frivolous and "harassing." Reardon is accused of using county resources to conduct his campaign for reelection.

In today's Seattle Times: The Susan G. Komen Foundation announces the resignation of its executive director,  a major Republican donor, six months after Komen announced it was yanking its funding for breast cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood. The director of the local chapter called the move part of a "path to recovery" for the group, whose annual Seattle Race for the Cure raised $500,000 less this year than last.
