Looking at SPOG's web site web site today, we noticed the following announcement : "Due to recent cancellations the SPOG Maui Condo has the following openings: April 3 - April 10, 2011; January 1 – January 8, 2012. The openings will be filled on a first come, first served basis."
The police union owns a condo in Maui?? Apparently so. In fact, Danny Westneat at the Seattle Times wrote about the condo when the union bought it---out of union funds, they said---two years ago. The condo has two bedrooms and two baths, and includes access to a pool and a private beach.
Sounds warmer than Madison, Wisconsin.
