A new daily feature from the Cola—a political winner and a political loser of the day.

Today's Cola Sugar High goes to U.S. Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA).

U.S. Sen. Patty Murray scored $26 billion in Medicaid dollars and teachers salaries today (over $500 million for Washington state). Murray's amendment includes a long list of tax cuts and killing corporate tax loopholes to pay for it.

Earmarks shmearmarks.

Today's Cola Sugar Crash goes to U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (D-WA, 2).

Larsen released a YouTube video this week trashing his Republican opponent John Koster for his allegiance to the Tea Party, which the video portrays as a crowd of crazies.

The Seattle Times responded by trashing Larsen. At their ed board meeting with Larsen this week, Larsen  praised the Tea Party as "well-meaning," according to an angry Times editorial busting on Larsen for being hypocritical.
