Jolt
Afternoon Jolt: Curt Woodward
Today's Loser: The Associated Press' Olympia Bureau
Curt Woodward, the Associated Press's longtime reporter in Olympia, is leaving his gig at the AP to join the online-only tech and business news site Xconomy. Woodward will join Luke Timmerman as the company's second Seattle reporter.
The bureau, currently missing longtime chief Rachel La Corte, who's on sabbatical, will evidently be in the hands of young reporter Manuel Valdes and an able intern.
Another loser: All the outlets around the state, including the PI and Times, which rely on Woodward's insta-reports.
