From the John T. Williams Protest: Asking for Dialogue
We're working on a full write-up of yesterday's march for John T. Williams and the demonstration at City Hall. But here's a teaser from the opening rally at Boren and Howell, at which there was much singing, dancing, grieving, and a whole lot of speeches railing against police brutality and institutionalized racism. Many in the crowd wanted nothing to do with the SPD, but the last man to speak pleaded for dialogue amid hoots of derision:

The speaker, who only identified himself as Phil, was a personal friend of Williams.
