The Seattle Times' AP story on today's R-71 U.S. Supreme Court case (about whether or not initiative signatures should be concealed from the public) has a weird line in it.

Summarizing last November's R-71 vote, they write:

Opponents of the law that expanded the rights of gay couples mounted a petition drive that succeeded in getting a referendum on the "everything-but-marriage" law on last year's ballot. Voters narrowly backed the law that grants registered domestic partners the same legal rights as married couples.

The measure, upholding gay rights, passed 53 to 46. Narrowly?
