UW President Mark Emmert is leaving to head up the NCAA.  The PI and  The Seattle Times have the news. PubliCola sat down with Emmert in 2009 to discuss higher education funding, which has been a struggle for the U.W. during the last two years—they had to increase tuition by 15 percent last year and again this year thanks to budget cuts.
