PubliCola Adds Life

We Have a Winner!

By Erica C. Barnett March 26, 2010

Congratulations to BikeNerd contest winner Nicole, who found the most ridiculous suggested bike route in Seattle (according to PubliCola's unbiased jury of experts) on Google's new bike mapping service—a route from 800 Galer Street at Westlake to 450 Galer Street on Lower Queen Anne. The walking distance between the two points is less than three blocks, but Google suggests cyclists ride all the way down Dexter Ave., back up Aurora, and up a flight of stairs to their destination. (We tested it and that's exactly what they suggest).

Nicole wins two tickets to the Blue Scholars' show at the Showbox Sunday night, added after Friday and Saturday's shows sold out. Congrats, Nicole!
