Breaking news:  Blue Dog Democrats have reached a compromise with other House Democrats on a health care plan.  The Blue Dogs gave Committee chair Henry Waxman a list of 10 items they wanted to see in any health care bill.  It's unclear what, if any, of those items made it's way into the compromise.

A floor vote is expected in September.

My guess is Nancy Pelosi (or Rahm or both) gave the DCCC a little ringie-ding and threatened to yank some money come election time next year.  Good for her, if so.
