Whatever you're vowing to do in this year (and most have resolved to do something)—update your look, master French, commit to your gym membership, get calm and centered—sometimes you could use a bit of guidance to slough off the past.

Jump start commitments for the next 12 months with our roundup of local detox options, choice gear, and renewing opportunities for a fresh start to 2015.

In the Gym

With so many of us swearing to a new workout regime in the New Year, it was a good time for flexible fitness plans from ClassPass and Fitmob to launch Seattle branches last November. Both services offer unlimited classes (for $99 a month) at a variety of local gyms and studios like Pure Barre, Flywheel, and CorePower Yoga. Great for those of us who need to mix up our sweat sessions in order to stay motivated.

As for getting geared up: Local brand Joeybra's sport-style bra have two water-resistant hidden side-pockets that are large enough to carry your phone, keys...maybe a mid-run snack?

The Downtown and Bellevue Nordstrom locales just launched Zone Zella, a popup featuring an expanded collection of clothing and accessories from Zella's line of activeware for men, women, and girls. Score some spandex before the zone packs up on February 9.

Vitamin Boosts

Last year we discovered vitamin B12 injections at Bella Fiore Organic Med Spa. The shots—meant to help those with vitamin B deficiencies—can increase energy, improve one's mood, and help with sleep disorders. And yea, okay maybe it's just a placebo effect, but after we get a shot we do feel more sprightly in the days following.

Check with your doctor before making an appointment. Injections are available for $25 at both Bella Fiore in Queen Anne and Skinspirit locations. Bella Fiore has a Wednesday happy hour with shots for $20.

We're also still believers in fresh and delicious one-, three-, or five-day cleanses from Juicebox on Capitol Hill (flashback to our cleansing experience here). Not quite ready for a full-on liquid diet? Opt for the "juice until dinner" plan with half-sizes of the blends that you follow up with a light dinner.

Jujubeet (with locations in Bellevue and U Village) also offers juicy options and a healthy cafe menu.

Bring the Heat

City Sweats in Madrona an "oven/straight-jacket combo for the soul." The urban sweat lodge specializes in infrared wraps that heat the surface of the skin, aiding in detox, relaxation, weight loss, and anxiety relief. Basically, you'll sweat out every last drop of 2014. You also get to watch Netflix for 45 minutes.

It's about that time of winter that we start dreaming of sunny getaways and quiet postholiday weekends. We'd suggest you head south, but only about 15 miles, to Cedarbrook Lodge and treat yourself to top-notch spa treatments, gourmet meals, and a peaceful night by a babbling brook.

Or, there's New Beach. This temporary installation allows you to book time at a simulated beach at the Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University. Hang out in complete privacy, faux oceanside for sessions between five minutes or a full hour. The exhibit runs from January 14 through February 14
