No need to panic–The Calf and Kid is not closing down, it's just changing its location. The beloved artisanal cheese shop is moving from its current home in Melrose Market to the Culture Club Cheese Bar  less than a mile away on 12th Ave, and will reopen this Friday, April 22.

Construction around Melrose Market location has impacted the businesses there, and owner Sheri LaVigne says that it has left her and others struggling. Thus it was a logical move to combine the cheese shop with her cheese bar down the road. The Calf and Kid will now occupy one of the front deli cases at Culture Club, where visitors can sample cheese and wines at the bar and purchase take-home products from the front.
