The big announcements keep on coming this week. Taiwanese-based dumpling phenom Din Tai Fung is adding a third Puget Sound location to the mix. Its next outpost will be on the fourth floor of the Pacific Place shopping center downtown.

According to a release from the mall's owner, the new Din Tai Fung will open in summer 2016. While the restaurant has more than 100 locations from Australia to Dubai, there are just six in the US (and apparently they like to be located in shopping centers). The chain's big draw is its xiao long bao, or delicate pleated soup dumplings filled with meat and a splash of broth.

The arrival of the Lincoln Square and U Village locations inspired major excitement and hourslong waits. Seems logical similar pandemonium will follow here. A small price to pay for soup dumpling access.
