Cupcake Royale is taking #TBT to new Lisa Frank–worthy levels with its new series of "Throwback Snackcakes," inspired by old-school foodstuffs. Now through October 29 take a break from standard pumpkin spicy autumn flavors for something a bit more 90s-era old school, like Corn Nuts and Pop Rocks and buttered popcorn.

Fear not, fall flavor purists. If you're into more traditional seasonal offerings, flavors like huckleberry and PB&J can still be found on the menu. Keep an eye on Cupcake Royale's social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) Thursday mornings through October 29 for their secret word-of-the-day; say the word while ordering at any location and you'll get one cupcake or a scoop of ice cream for $2. Read on for the full list of flavors.

Cornflakes and Whiskey

For an extra kick to your cornflakes, try the vanilla cupcake made with milk sweetened by an overnight soak of cornflakes, plus non-soggy cornflakes and chopped up Corn Nuts with cornflake buttercream, topped with Woodinville Whisky caramel sauce and cornflake Florentine cookies.

PB and Fries

A classic vanilla cupcake topped with creamy peanut butter icing...but dunked in a potato chip and French fry crumb topping. Naturally.

Buttered Popcorn and Caramel Crunch

Spicy Ginger Ale

YouTube tells us that Pop Rocks + soda is a volatile combination, but cupcakes seem to get a pass. A vanilla cupcake gets amped up by mixing fresh ginger buttercream with Pop Rocks for a frosting that tastes uncannily like ginger ale.
