It’s Baseball Week in Seattle: New Places to Eat in Pioneer Square

I'd call this a Good Bar, wouldn't you?

And now, not a moment too soon for a solid week of Mariners home games: a refresher course on some of the best newish spots to find yourself peckish and parched in Pioneer Square.
I reviewed six new Pioneer Square watering holes with good food last October, but let’s drill down on one of them. That would be Good Bar, which erupted onto the scene last winter and was ready for its closeup in Seattle Met’s new June issue. Therein I discuss restaurant noise, deconstructed potato salads, vintage bank vault doors, peanuts that have to be fished out of a swamp, stadium-district kitchens without deep fryers, and a sloppy joe that requires a fork. Possibly also a 12-step group.
But did I like Good Bar? Better check out my review…first pitch is in a few hours. It’s the Yankees, people.
