Bellevue Is Getting a Food Truck Pod

And the truck lineup is great

While food trucks have a strong presence in the 425, organized pod formations have thus far been a Seattle phenomenon. That changes this week.

Starting this Friday, November 7, food trucks will reliably gather at 620 106th Ave NE in Bellevue. Look for them in the Barnes and Noble parking lot.

Right now trucks congregate only on Fridays, but organizer Jonathan Amato says his company, Curbside Provisions, will expand the schedule if all goes well. On the plus side: The lineup of trucks is great. This Friday's quartet includes two of my favorites, Off the Rez and Napkin Friends, plus intriguing newcomers Sam Choy's Poke to the Max and Peasant Food Manifesto.

The trucks will serve lunch from 11 to 2. The indefatigable Seattle Food Truck site should have details on which ones to expect in the coming weeks.
