The aesthetic is similar, but not identical, to the South Lake Union location.

The popular quartet of locally owned Southwest-meets-Mexican restaurants sent word it has officially grown to five locations. The restaurant has opened its new outpost at Bellevue Square, in the former Z'Tejas space up by the sky bridges. It's the largest Cactus yet, in a setting that's a bit of a departure from the Alki, Kirkland, and Madison Park locations that are all close to the water.

The South Lake Union location, which opened in 2011, showed it's possible to stray from that idea of a neighborhood restaurant near the water, according to co-owner Marc Chatalas. This location shares SLU's urban aesthetic, and high-traffic setting, be it Amazonians or shoppers. Cactus Bellevue is open seven days a week for brunch, lunch, dinner, and a daily happy hour in the enlarged bar space. Have a look around in the photos above, taken for Cactus by Geoffrey Smith.
