Lombardi's Bids Farewell to the Issaquah Location

The longstanding Italian restaurant says arrivederci in July.

You have but two more months to get at that patio. Photo via the Lombardi's Facebook page.

Lombardi's announced today that its Issaquah location will close July 28. The Italian staple opened in 1990; owner Diane Symms says she lost her lease, ending a 22-year run on Gilman Boulevard. And with the closure, another 22-year run must come to an end: Symms reports that a group of regulars—friends from high school—have had a standing Tuesday-night reservation for martini night since the restaurant opened. Presumably they were not actually in high school at the time. Wow, I'm lucky if I talk to my mom once a week.

Lombardi's siblings in Everett and Mill Creek will remain open; the original in Ballard shuttered in 2010 after an impressive 23 years. So get in there and take advantage of that patio in the next two months.
