If you’re the sort that thinks Valentine’s Day is a holiday conceived entirely by marketers, all these faux food holidays must really dust your doughnuts. But I’m partial to anything that results in a free Li’l Woody’s burger. Which is what you’ll get on Monday, because it’s (say it with me now) national hamburger day. And also, obviously, the observance of Memorial Day. Seems the hamburger powers that be could have picked a less solemn occasion. But I digress.

Between 2 and 5 on Monday, May 27, the Capitol Hill burger shop is giving out free hamburgers. Toppings and add-ons cost extra. And limit one per person, you shameless freeloaders. Prepare yourself for lines. Also, prepare yourself for Li’l Woody’s new Ballard location, which looks awfully close to opening.
