A second Skillet Diner is in the works and will probably look a lot like this one, the Capitol Hill original.

Fountain Bar and Lounge
The downtown Sheraton Seattle Hotel has unveiled a new bar following a million-dollar renovation. The space is built around Northwest Fountain—a piece by artist George Tsutakawa—and also features a mixed media sculpture by Nancy Mee. The lounge opens at 4 daily with a Sheraton Social Hour on weeknights from 5 to 6.

Garden Sushi
Owner Tsering Lama has secured a new location for his beloved sushi food truck. Find him at the intersection of Barnes Avenue Northwest and 17th Avenue Northwest from 11 to 9 seven days a week.

Alki Tavern
The popular drinking spot located on Harbor Avenue Southwest poured its last pints on Sunday with a bittersweet St. Patrick's Day celebration. Visit West Seattle Blog for photos and a video with parting words from proprietor Gill McLynne.

The Narwhal
Renee Erickson's oyster truck is due to arrive in Seattle at the end of the month. After a series of test runs, she and her partners plan to hit the Queen Anne Farmers Market and Hilliard's brewery starting in June. Because this is Renee Erickson we're talking about, the menu sounds delightful: fried oysters, smoked fish, oyster bisque, and possibly oyster po'boys.

Pono Ranch
Construction is under way for a family-friendly restaurant and drive-thru coffee spot near the Ballard Bridge. My Ballard reports that owner Jon Burgett has been working on the space since May of last year and hopes to open this summer. Check out the Pono Ranch Facebook page for udates.

A modern American food spot, complete with shuffleboard, ping pong, and a heated terrace, is destined for the fifth floor of downtown Seattle's Red Lion Hotel. Frolik is set to open in mid-April and takes over the former Terrace Garden space.

Pizzeria Credo
The former Garlic Jim's space on California Avenue Southwest has undergone a major makeover, including the installation of a wood-fired oven from Naples. Proprietor Jacques Nawar hopes for an end-of-the-month opening and promises "not just another pizza place," says West Seattle Blog. In addition to pies, Pizzeria Credo will offer appetizers, salads, and entrees containing duck and chicken, plus takeout and growler fills.

Skillet Diner
Ballard folks, Skillet Diner is headed your way this summer. A new location on Northwest 56th Street will mimic the Capitol Hill original in look, feel, and menu but feature an outdoor patio and a bigger bar.

Schwartz Brothers Restaurants
A new executive chef is heading Daniel's Broiler, Chandler's Crabhouse, and Spazzo Italian Grill. Peter Coulter formerly served as corporate chef at Campbell Soup Company and director of product development at Flying Food Group.

Fuji Bakery
Finally! After closing in July, the Bellevue and International District locations of Fuji Bakery will reopen on March 23 with a limited menu. And the new flagship on Elliott Avenue could open as early as next week, says owner Akihiro Nakamura. He plans to gradually work toward offering a full list of options in all three locations by the end of spring.

The Garage
CHS reports
changes are afoot at the Garage, a hangout that began as a restaurant and bar in 1995 and has since expanded into a pool hall with bowling lanes. Owner Mike Bitando is redesigning the patio facing Broadway, complete with a new bar and fire pit. He hopes to finish the renovation by early June.
