Ethan Stowell's salumi bar nears completion, another sports bar eyes Pioneer Square, and late-night Malaysian opens on East Olive Way.

Pioneer Square land another sports bar, the Lodge.


Beacon Ave Sandwiches
Luis Rodriguez,  owner of the Station cafe, has taken over the former Luisa Taqueria to launch a sandwich shop and deli serving meats and cheese by the pound. According to Beacon Hill Blog, Beacon Ave Sandwiches is open from 10 to 6 daily.

Kedai Makan
In the wake of Tacos Gringos comes another destination sating late-night eaters. Kedai Makan is now open at 1510 East Olive Way and prepping nasi goreng and other Malysian street food until 2:30am Thursday through Saturday and until midnight on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.


Urban Nomad Food Truck
Seattle’s first pasta mobile has called it quits. Co-owner Bruce Pinkerton, who also operates Urban Cafe on Elliott Avenue, says the streetside venture didn't fit with his longterm business goals. Those may include opening another brick and mortar.


Bar Cotto
Eater Seattle brings an update on the latest Ethan Stowell establishment, a salumi and pizza joint neighboring Anchovies and Olives. Zach Chambers will cook for and run both kitchens when Bar Cotto opens in mid-February.

The original banh mi counter opened last May in Kirkland, and now owners are crossing the lake to launch another one in the former Forza Coffee near University Village, Seattle Weekly reports.

The Bellevue Square space of the just-shuttered Z’Tejas restaurant is already making way for a new tenant. Marc and Bret Chatalas, co-owners of the local Southwestern chainlet, will open their largest location yet there in June.

The Lodge Sports Grille
What used to be Tiki Bob’s Cantina will soon be home to the Kirkland satellite sports bar, near F.X. McRory’s, reports Eater Seattle. With a new professional sports team possibly coming to town, this watering hole is positioned to do some sizeable business.
