WEDNESDAY, January 23

The Culinary Cowboy
Learn about beef and eat it too at the Palace Ballroom. During this class taught by Bryan Ulring of Bar L Ranch in Montana, the real deal cowboy discusses raising grassfed, hormone- and antibiotic-free cattle. Business Style: Etiquette Essentials
Arden Clise of Clise Etiquette is partnering with Sorrento Hotel to school young professionals on proper manners. Kicking off at 3:30, this quarterly series is $49 and includes snacks from the Hunt Club. Purchase tickets online or call 206-343-6156.  

FRIDAY, January 25

Salinte! A Celebration of Scottish Fare
Dust off your kilt and join fellow haggis lovers to honor Scotland’s beloved poet, Robert Burns. Dahlia Lounge chef Brock Johnson and scotch experts Richard Hill and Adam Chumas are joining forces for the event, which starts at 6:30 and costs $50. Purchase tickets online. 

SATURDAY, January 26

Say Goodbye to Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill
After sating Eastsiders’ Southwestern cravings for 11 years, Z’Tejas is closing on Saturday. Say "adios" with $2 beer and house wine and $5 drink specials on Saturday between 7 and 11pm

Greenwood Lit Crawl
The third annual Five Alarms literary, music, and culinary crawl begins at Greenwood's Chocolati Cafe at 5. From there the group will head to Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Cafe, Bherd Studios, and finally Naked City Brewery and Taphouse. The event is free, but the food and drinks are on you. MONDAY, January 28

Behind the Bottle: Whiskey Night
Michael Mina wine bar RN74 shifts gears for an evening dedicated to Gordon and MacPhail scotch. Over a five-course tasting menu, local spirits man Andrew Bohrer will shed insight on each selection. Team America: World Police at King’s Hardware
For the final January installment of its movie series, King’s screens the satirical action comedy written and directed by Trey Parker (the South Park guy). The show starts at sundown on the heated patio. Check Facebook or Twitter for movie updates or time changes.
