 TUESDAY, September 4

Tom Douglas Salmon Bake at Safeco Field
Tasty tidings for fans hanging out in the stadium's Lookout Landing: Tom Douglas is offering up a $15 menu of applewood grilled salmon, collard green potato salad, locally sourced grilled corn, and a wedge of watermelon. Happy hour is happening from 5:10-7:10. 

WEDNESDAY, September 5

Ivar's Shell-Out for Hunger Food Drive
From September 5 to October 5, Ivar's Seafood Restaurants holds its first food drive in partnership with Northwest Harvest. Every person who donates five or more non-perishable foodstuffs gets a free cup of clam chowder; for every item collected, one cup is donated to Northwest Harvest. Those who wish to participate can visit any participating Ivar's Western Washington location, or text "SHELLOUT" to 80888 for a one-time donation of $10. 

SATURDAY, September 8

Fremont Mishief Summer Celebration
Fremont Mischief Distillery christens its new outdoor space with a concert featuring St. Paul de Vence, Le Wrens, and more. Food will be available for purchase, and prepped with Fremont Mischief Spirits in mind. Local beers, wines, and cocktails will also be served. Tickets are $12 in advance.

Seattle Tilth Harvest Fair
Swing by Meridian Park between 10 and 4 for cooking demonstrations, workshops, an urban farm area, and other fun activities at this celebration lining up more than 100 vendors. 

SUNDAY, September 9

Nicky USA's 12th Annual Wild About Game
Road trip it to Oregon's Timberline Lodge for this meatcentric event. Don't miss the inevitably entertaining Portland-Seattle chef showdowns (think Jenn Louis vs. Cormac Mahoney, Chris Israel vs. John Sundstrom, and Gregory Gourdet vs. Nathan Lockwood). The event culminates with a dinner of the chefs' dishes. Tickets are $50. 

The Wandering Table
Reserve your spot for this traveling supper club featuring a 12-course tasting menu and matching wines. The location isn't announced until 48 hours before the event, though word has it it'll be in or around Downtown Seattle.

Bow Wow Brunch
Sorrento Hotel is hosting a special Sunday brunch at its outdoor piazza to benefit the Seattle Humane Society. Patrons can order eggs for themselves, and for the pooches, the Bow Wow menu: a Three Dog Bakery pastry, egg and avocado salad, Bowser Beer, and a choice of entree (salmon or lamb).

MONDAY, September 10

Monday Movies at King's Hardware
The Ballard burgers-and-beer spot screens back-to-school classics Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Ferris Bueller's Day Off as part of the monthlong Monday Movies series. Flicks begin at sundown.

Zoi and Tassos Roast a Goat
Next up in the restaurant's Monday suppers: Madison Park Conservatory chef de cuisine Zoi Antonitsas will roast a whole goat with the help of her father, Tassos. Doors open at 6pm for cocktails, with seating to follow at 7. Tickets are $45 per person.

TUESDAY, September 11

Japanese Farm Food Dinner at the Corson Building
Nancy Singleton Hachisu will share stories, cook, and promote her new book, Japanese Farm Food, starting at 6pm. Tickets are $60.


Sept 9 - 15 For Washington Organic Week, Tilth Producers will partner with Washington growers, retailers, restaurants, and more to offer statewide events that highlight the benefits of local organic foods.
