Peaks Frozen Yogurt Bar Opens in Bellevue

The froyo invasion continues apace.

After doling out freebies Thursday (gah! Sorry we didn’t tell you about that one), Tim Riley says Peaks Frozen Yogurt Bar officially opens today.

Yesterday’s free-yo was part of a fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital, attracting what Riley calls the area’s "professional froyo people." Apparently taste testing Menchies and Yogurtland and the local guys is a serious racket. "I’m amazed at how many people are becoming froyo experts," he chuckled. (All seemed to endorse the product, he noted).

To learn the art of ’yo Riley, the CEO and president, says he and his business partners worked with a "guru" from YoCream, based out of Portland. Ten flavors are on offer daily alongside 30 toppings.

This is the first location of Peaks, but if that CEO-pres business didn’t already hint it, more shops are a possibility. But, Riley said, that’s a far-off idea for now.

Peaks is open Monday–Thursday and Sunday 11–9 and Friday and Saturday 11–11.
