Here’s what’s happening in the magical land of happy hours:
UPDATE: Looks like Tom Douglas’s Dahlia Lounge has plans for a new happy hour featuring mini pizzas with heirlooms from the Douglas family farm. Stay tuned.
Madison Valley cafe Luc is now offering happy hour every day of the week in the bar and on its patio. That’s from 4:30 to 6:30pm and features $5 snacks and mini cocktails and $3 draught beer and keg wine. HH returned to Luc this June after a hiatus, but was previously offered Sunday through Thursday only.
Stopsky’s on Mercer Island will add a weekday snacks menu in September called the “nosh hour.” That will last from 4 to 6pm and includes snacks and discounted beer and wine. There are pastrami latkes involved.
Poquito’s is now serving happy hour twice daily. The early HH is from 4 to 6pm and includes specials on food and drink, the 11pm to 1am edition includes food discounts only. During the early HH draught beers and well cocktails are $4, house wines are $5, a tequila sangria is $6 (easy now), and tequila-and-juice drinks are $5.
The food menu ranges from $2 to $5 and includes chips and guac, tacos, a house salad, chicken sopes, tostadas, and empanadas. Man, just writing about Mexican food makes me hungry.
Remember, too, that Marination Station recently debuted a happy hour. Also, RN74 is doing all kinds of promotional HHs featuring different spirits and special foods and things. The restaurant seems to want to keep us in suspense about what’s happening when—I think the way to do it is just follow RN74 on Twitter and try to keep up.
