Seattle Beer Week

Seattle Beer Week Essentials: The Yard Opens in Greenwood, Stellar Line-up at Super Deli, Cask-o-rama

Let the Beer Bacchanalia Begin.

May 19, 2011

Super Deli Mart’s Min Chung has stocked up for Seattle Beer Week.

Here are my SBW picks for Thursday, May 19:

WEST SEATTLE
Super Deli Mart kicks off the beerathon with the following brews on tap: Anderson Valley Brewing’s Bahl Hornin’ Imperial Boont Amber Ale, Boulevard Brewing Dry Stout, the Afterburner IPA from Flyers Restaurant and Brewery, and Stone Brewing Co’s Double Bastard Ale and 10.10.10 Vertical Epic Ale.

Also in West Seattle: From 6 to 11:45pm it’s Cask-o-rama at Beveridge Place pub, an awesome occasion to try Seattle-made beers on cask.

GREENWOOD
Another hyper-local happening: In Greenwood, Naked City is doing a special food menu for the occasion and splitting its 24 taps between house-made brews and beers from other Seattle breweries.

The Yard, a new Greenwood bar from the people behind the Dray, opens tonight at 8313 Greenwood Ave. N. New beer bar + beer week=happy times.

REDMOND AND CAPITOL HILL
The Coney Island Craft Lager circus show will be at Redmond’s Malt and Vine early in the evening then over to Unicorn on Capitol Hill.
