Belgian Beer Festival January 23nd at Georgetown Studios

On Saturday, January 23nd, the Washington Beer Commission will hold the first ever Belgianfest in the Engine Room at Georgetown Studios (5890 Airport Way S). Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. There are two sessions: 12-4pm & 6-10pm.
There’s also a beer-pairing dinner at the Corson Building at 6:30pm on Friday the 22nd, that’s $90. See web site for details.
It should go without saying that you’ll want a designated driver to drag you out of any beer festival, but this is especially true when dealing with powerful Belgian-style brews: The Redhook tripel (I love you Redhook tripel!) has 10.3 apv, for instance, while Pike Brewing’s Monk’s Uncle (I love you Monk’s Uncle!) has 9.2. Please don’t drive home.
