Dining Out for Life
Remember that other epidemic?
Slashes in government AIDS funding and a dwindling of individual giving make this year’s Dining Out for Life extra crucial.
What is it?
A program, now in its 16th year, in which 150+ participating restaurants around here donate thirty percent of their proceeds to Lifelong AIDS Alliance.
Which day? TODAY! All day!
Last year’s event raised $250,000 to support Lifelong’s critical care services for people living with HIV, AIDS, and other chronic illnesses.
Participating restaurants run the gamut on the price, elegance, and neighborhood scale. A few of this critic’s faves? Kabul Afghan Cuisine, Geraldine’s Counter, Lark, Madison Park Cafe, and—today!—Ray’s Cafe.
Go eat the day.
