Democracy Dialogues: Vote by Mail
As the pandemic forces many states to shift away from in-person ballot booths to vote by mail systems, Washington has emerged as a guiding light. To help explain the process of mail-in-voting, the Museum of History and Industry has invited Washington secretary of state Kim Wyman and King County elections director Julie Wise to speak. The pair will debunk myths (perhaps those coming from, oh, the President) and dive into the challenges and successes of voting by mail. 7pm, $10 (suggested donation)

While fans don't get to pack the halls of the Washington State Convention Center, PAX West has still found a way to bring the gaming community together online. The always-anticipated convention will go virtual as PAX Online, where gamers can still access plenty of the same panels, tournaments, and streams as they would in person. Free

With Seattle sitting in an important moment for change, mayor Jenny Durkan will sit down with Crosscut reporter David Kroman to discuss major issues facing the city, including Seattle’s continued response to Covid-19 and her answer to the chants for police reform—both topics Kroman has reported extensively on. Edd Kimber, who won the first season of The Great British Bake Off back in 2010, has released a new book of recipes with an emphasis on ease.
