Blast Off into a Cinematic Universe with Neil deGrasse Tyson

When Neil deGrasse Tyson isn't busy hosting StarTalk or Cosmos, heading the Hayden Planetarium, or giving lectures, he transforms into his diabolical alter ego—Hollywood's Wet Blanket. The famed astrophysicist has become Twitter's king of the "ummm... actually" argument and the premiere scientific fact checker for major motion pictures. No films about space are safe. Gravity? Eviscerated. Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Picked apart. Even non-space based films like Titanic? Wrong to the degree that James Cameron actually reedited it. Seriously, Neil... chill out, bro.
Seattlites that enjoy his nitpicking way are in luck. On September 21, Neil deGrasse Tyson heads to the Paramount Theatre to deliver his latest lecture, An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies. Thankfully, it shouldn't all be negative, with Neil also talking about movies he loves that employ sound science (though researchers have yet to confirm the existence of these theoretical films).
Tickets for Neil deGrasse Tyson's An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies go on sale this Friday, May 13 at 10am via Ticketmaster.com. Basic seats cost $55–$75, and VIP packages run $146—$246.
