Last week was a pretty huge one for college football in Washington state, and it started when UW traveled down to Los Angeles on Thursday and knocked off #17 USC. The Huskies came in as 17-point underdogs, but the defense notched two interceptions against USC's Heisman hopeful quarterback Cody Kessler en route to a 17-12 victory over their ex-head coach Steve Sarkisian (who unfortunately appears to be a suffering alcoholic). It's the first win against a Top 25 foe during the Chris Petersen era. Husky fans hope it's just the start of something big, as the team still has games against #15 Stanford and #4 Utah on the schedule.

While no national ranking was involved, the Washington State Cougars may have notched an even more impressive win on Saturday, going into Autzen Stadium in Eugene and knocking off the Oregon Ducks in triple OT. Remember, this is a Cougar team that lost to FCS school Portland State at home to start the season. (By the transitive property of WSU, I believe Portland State is now the best college football team in the state of Oregon.) To cap off the night, the team's official Twitter account sent out this gem...

On the other end of the football spectrum, here's Katie Nolan of Fox Sports One's Garbage Time with Katie reminding us all that the NFL is the worst with an impassioned rant about garbage human being/Cowboys DE Greg Hardy.

Looking for a bizarre soundtrack for your workday? Maybe check out Kmart's early-'90s in-store tapes. Former Kmart employee Mark Davis saved a bunch of these corporate-issued easy listening cassettes (which were issued to all stores on a monthly or weekly basis) from the trash, and has uploaded them  to archive.org. They'll either have you reveling in kitsch or drive you completely insane.

While he's since relocated to Los Angeles, Bothell native Robert DeLong is still doing his hometown proud by carving out his unique EDM with an indie rock sensibility sound on a national stage. The one-man electric band took the late night stage last Wednesday, performing "Long Way Down" on Conan. DeLong returns home for a concert at the Showbox on November 20.

In which recent Seattle expat Spike Friedman makes the case that only a psychopath would wake up a napping otter. Yes, there's video of said otter injustice (posted below). And yes, Friedman's doing the Lord's work here.
