Fitz and the Tantrums

Add these ticket alerts to your calendar asap:

Los Angeles neo-soul act Fitz and the Tantrums returns to Seattle April 8 to play the Showbox the intimate Columbia City Theater. We were expecting Showbox at the Market too, since Fitz and gang sold out that (much larger) downtown venue in 2012. Instead, Columbia City gets treated to dance-friendly '60s retro, with Seattle native John Wicks on drums. (Of course he's a Seattle native; he has a coffee blog.) Tickets ($25) are on sale March 8 at noon at showboxpresents.com.

Following a stellar debut with hit single "Kids"—and a subsequent sophomore flop—rock duo MGMT has been working on a third album that may be weirder than the last. Prove it! They're promising a special Record Store Day release on April 20 and are set to play Showbox SoDo May 15. Tickets ($32–$35) are on sale March 8 at noon at showboxpresents.com.

Last but not least: Soul-pop king Michael Jackson Bruno Mars unofficially kicked off his Moonshine Jungle world tour with a Grammy performance with Sting and by being the best double-duty host of SNL since Justin Timberlake. We'll have "Locked Out of Heaven" on repeat until he plays KeyArena July 21 with British electropop star Ellie Goulding. Tickets ($37–$87) are on sale March 8 at 10am at ticketmaster.com.
