With Thanksgiving less than a week away, we decided it's time to give thanks to YOU, Seattle Met readers. Start the slow clap...
Over the next two weeks we'll be giving away tickets to concerts at the Paramount and the Neptune, and later today we'll start a contest to win a collector's set of Seattle music that's so awesome, we kind of want to keep it for ourselves. But we won't. That would be the worst contest ever.
To kick off the holiday-giveaway-palooza, we have a pair of tickets each to see Seattle soul singer Allen Stone at the Paramount on December 7 and Shabazz Palaces with THEESatisfaction at the Neptune on December 28.
For Stone it was the year of Letterman and opening sets for Dave Matthews at the Gorge. Fresh of a European tour, the Eastern Washington "hippie with soul" comes home for one of his biggest local headlining sets. To enter to win tickets, email [email protected] with “Allen” as the subject, and a reason why you want to see the show, by Friday, November 30, at 5pm. The winner will be notified by email shortly after the deadline.
When it comes to critical acclaim, Sub Pop label mates Shabazz Palaces and THEESatisfaction are the darlings of Seattle's hip-hop scene, dealing in avant-rap and smooth sci-fi rhymes. To enter to win tickets to this formidable double header, email [email protected] with “THEE” as the subject, and a reason why you want to see the show, by Friday, November 30, at 5pm. The winner will be notified by email shortly after the deadline.
More to come on Culture Fiend and in our e-newsletter On the Town.
