Father John Misty and the Walkmen Headline Little Big Show #5

Father John Misty may have left Seattle for a drier place, but we still love him.

Now entering its second year, the Little Big Show concert series has already been a success, introducing rising rock talent to the people while netting $40,000 for local nonprofits. With that said (and not to disparage any of the previous lineups), that was just a warmup to Little Big Show 5. It's enough just to secure the refined style of indie vets the Walkmen for a benefit show, but to get former Fleet Foxes drummer and expert conversationalist Father John Misty to open? That's an embarrassment of riches. After all, FJM was able to sell out Neumos (twice) in the past year on the strength of his psychedelic-rock debut album Fear Fun, and that's with a mainstage set at Capitol Hill Block Party sandwiched in between.
Tickets for Little Big Show 5 are $15 and go on sale November 2, 10am, at stgpresents.org and Sonic Boom Records. All ticket sales support a to-be-determined local nonprofit.
