Coming Soon: The Shins, Radiolab, and Yeasayer

The Shins will hit the Paramount stage on Sept 22.
Three exciting shows head our way in a few months via STG Presents:
The Shins
James Mercer and company make their first appearance in Seattle since the release of the group’s latest album, Port of Morrow. For those of us who didn’t see the band at Sasquatch, it’s also the first chance to catch the new Shins lineup, which now includes Seattleites Yuuki Mattews (Crystal Skulls) on bass and Jessica Dobson (Deep Sea Diver) on lead guitar.
Tickets to see the Shins on September 22 at the Paramount go on sale this Saturday at 10am at stgpresents.org.
Radiolab
The popular public radio program hosted by Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich returns to the Paramount on August 24 with its mashup of science, philosophy, and comedy. Radiolab’s new live show In the Dark explores the evolution of sight and the human eye, featuring conversations with two blind men who can’t agree on what life looks like in the dark, and an astronaut reliving his spacewalk. Rocker Thao Nguyen and modern dance troupe Pilobolus will also perform.
Tickets to see Radiolab on August 24 at the Paramount go on sale this Saturday at 10am at stgpresents.org.
Yeasayer
One of the predominant bands of the always-buzzy Brooklyn scene, Yeasayer will play the Neptune on August 30, just 10 days after the group’s third LP, Fragrant World, is set to be released. The band’s complex psychedelic rock sound, self-described as "Middle Eastern-psych-snap-gospel," earned it a substantial following after its last record, Odd Blood, became a hit on the alternative charts.
Tickets to see Yeasayer on August 30 at the Neptune go on sale this Friday at 10am at stgpresents.org.
