Where to Eat a Festive Holiday Meal on Christmas

When you've got a full plate of activities on Christmas, the last thing you want to do is the dishes.

We told you where to go for dinners before Christmas and on Christmas Eve, and now we're here to share some special holiday-inspired dinners happening on Christmas day. From casual to classy, here are a few restaurants where you can do all of the eating and celebrating with none of the cleaning after.

Casual

5 Point Café
This place is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Including Christmas. For $22, get the choice of either prime rib with au jus and horseradish or carved ham with pineapple glaze, along with soup or salad, a loaded baked potato, brussels sprouts, and, of course, pie. 

Big Mario’s
For that midnight snack after the food coma from dinner, come to this Capitol Hill spot and takeaway window from 5pm-2am and feast on pizza. Christmas pizza. Big Mario’s is offering the special Mario’s Family Feast along with the White Christmas crab pizza with Dungeness crab meat, scallions, and a bunch of sauces. The Family Feast pizza features authentic Italian prosciutto ham with mozzarella and feta and is only available on Christmas day. 

Lost Lake Cafe and Lounge
This trendy diner in Capitol Hill is bringing in Christmas the right way–with a lot of food. The restaurant is hosting a special Christmas meal from 10 to 10. Serving an 8-ounce prime rib with twice-baked mashed potatoes, sautéed brussel sprouts, cannellini beans, and a fancy horseradish sauce, Lost Lake is offering it all for just $14.99. And try some family-style side dishes including creamed corn and spiced butternut squash for $3.50 each. Yuletide drinks like hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps and spicy bourbon mulled cider will also be available.

Classy

Barking Frog
This restaurant located at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville is celebrating Christmas with a special holiday menu available from 4-9. Executive chef Bobby Moore will be creating holiday-inspired dishes including duck breast, sweet potato gnocchi, and roasted fingerling potatoes. To make reservations, call 425-424-2999. 

Copperleaf
This swanky space in the Cedarbrook Lodge is offering a five-course holiday prix fixe menu starting at 4:30. Executive chef Mark Vodinet will be preparing dishes such as caramelized sea scallops, sweet garlic crème, and Anderson ranch lamb with optional wine pairings. Cheers to the holiday with a complimentary champagne toast. The meal is $75 with an additional $30 for the wine pairings. To make reservations, call 206-214-4282. 

SkyCity
Enjoy Christmastime looking over the city at this restaurant located on the top floor of the Space Needle, which is offering a special three-course holiday dinner starting at 12:30. For $62, enjoy a meal including soup or salad, apple-wood-smoked turkey, and the choice of pumpkin pie or bread pudding. Other menu options such as a Northwest shellfish display and lobster tail are available as well. 

Urbane
This upscale farm-to-table spot will be serving holiday specials on Christmas day and the day after. Menu items include entrees such as American sturgeon caviar and pork chops. Come early, celebrate a Christmas brunch, and have some candied cranberry pancakes and pork belly hash.

Restaurant at the Alderbrook Resort 
Located in the Alderbrook Resort and Spa, this restaurant is hosting both a Christmas brunch and dinner for those celebrating. For brunch, take part in the carving station or have traditional eggs Benedict. For dinner, special slow-roasted prime rib and prosciutto-wrapped monk fish will be served. Want to have a fancy dinner at home but don’t feel like elbowing holiday crowds at the store? The stylish Michael Mina spot downtown will do the trick for you with the Christmas dinner kit. Available for parties of four to 12, executive chef David Varley has put together all the ingredients and instructions you need to make an awesome meal to enjoy in your own dining room. Choose between the rib roast or the sea salt-brined heritage turkey (or don’t choose and get both) as the main dish, with sides including chestnut-prune stuffing, green bean and duck casserole, and mashed potatoes with maple butter. And no meal is complete without the choice between pecan-pumpkin pie or apple cobbler. The meal is $50 per person for the turkey and $60 per person for the rib roast.
