Winter Beer Six-Pack

We put together a sixer just for you.

If you’ve read our Seattle Winter Beer Guide your thirst for strong, malty brews is no doubt aroused. Three of those beers are featured in our Seasonal Six-Pack (which just so happens to be available at Whole Foods Market).

Here's what food and drink editor Allecia Vermillion had to say about them:

Hale’s Wee Heavy Winter Ale An unusual version for the style, with hoppy, floral notes has been around since 1985. 7.2 percent ABV

Maritime Pacific Jolly Roger Christmas Ale Beware: This ruby-colored staple drinks like a lighter beer, yet packs a potent 8.9 percent alcohol content. It was designed to taste good now, or in a year—or 10.

Scuttlebutt 10 Degrees Below Here’s something you don’t see every day—an imperial wheat beer, technically a dark German dunkel weiss, or dunkel weizen, that somehow manages to careen between sweet, chocolate, bitter, and fruit. 7.4 percent ABV
