Kenmore Float Plane Sightseeing Deal

Book ASAP and get above it all this weekend.

No plans yet for this weekend? Kenmore Air, the floatplane company that provides dozens of daily photo ops with its water takeoffs and landings, is offering a $79 flightseeing deal, good this weekend only.

Planes leave from and return to Lake Union, and trips last 20 minutes. In that time flyers get views of Seattle, Bellevue, Lake Washington and Elliott Bay. Temperatures are supposed to stay in the 70s this weekend, with a whopping 0 percent chance of rain. The $21 savings (such flights are usually priced at $100) is good for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only, and until space runs out. Hurry.

Kenmore's also offering a fall seat sale on jaunts from Seattle to Victoria, BC. We found legs as low as $112.50 per person, and discounts are good through November 15.

The company and its 25 planes—all with cool names like piston Beavers and turbine Otters—has been flying floatplanes around the Northwest for 66 years. If you're impressed by your afternoon in the air, you can even take floatplane flying lessons from the experts. Or, you know, not (yikes).
