-The The Rocky Horror Picture Show was made for Halloween weekend. It’s showing in Bellingham on Friday, Saturday, and Monday at 8pm and midnight at the Mount Baker Theatre. Come in your best Frank-N-Furter garb and don’t forget the semi-official Rocky Horror Survival Kit with the requisite toilet paper. Tickets are $9.

-The second annual Port Gamble Ghost Conference is ideal for wannabe ghostbusters. From Friday to Sunday, carry out paranormal investigations lectures and hear lectures (one example: “Exhibit X: The Proof and the Problem of Paranormal Evidence" on Saturday). The well-preserved North Kitsap town has its share of creepy old homes and ghostly streetlamps.

-Spokane’s Silverwood becomes Scarywood Theme Park on Saturday, applying the haunted-house concept to an entire amusement park. Zombie-infested roller coasters will run backward, nightmare creatures will appear in the swamps, and a "Freak Farm" will be overrun with, well, freaks. Tickets go quickly.

-Plan holiday meals at Saveur Cooks: French Holiday Classics on Sunday. The course will teach delicious Gallic classics, including duck breast with brandied fig sauce and French pumpkin pie. The two-hour experience takes place at Sur La Table in Kirkland.

-The Palmer Wirfs Antiques Show is in Portland through Saturday at the
Expo Center. The largest antiques event in America invades the Rose City with more than 1,000 booths, antiques identifications from experts, and countless treasures for sale.
