More than 400 health professionals, civic leaders and other supporters of Northwest Kidney Centers gathered for the nonprofit dialysis organization’s annual Discovery Gala on Nov. 14 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. Founded in 1962, Northwest Kidney Centers was the first out-of-hospi­tal dialysis program in the world and it is still a model in the field. Thanks to sponsors and 407 attendees, the fourth annual event raised $663,000 for kidney research.
