Party attendees donned their grooviest 1960s and ‘70s attire to celebrate Bellevue Arts Museum’s newest exhibition, Counter-Couture: Fashioning Identity in the American Counterculture, guest curated by local Seattle designer, Michael Cepress. The exhibition showcases garments, jewelry, and accessories of American makers who crafted the very reality that they craved, on the margin of society and yet at the center of an epochal change. Many artists from the exhibition were in attendance and guests enjoyed music from the era by KEXP’s DJ El Toro.
