On August 1, Italian festivities transformed the Museum of Glass plaza into Party on the Piazza with the help of Casa Mia Italian Restaurant, SANCA, Metropolitan Market, Northwest Cadillac Dealers, Rags & Ribbons, YMCA, Olympia Olive Oil, Gingko Forest Winery, and Tango in Tacoma. The event celebrated the opening of Chihuly’s Venetians: The George R. Stroemple Collection and the country that inspired Dale Chihuly’s art. Performances, food and drink tastings, photo booths and more tantalized guests’ senses with the sights, sounds, and tastes of Italia. If you missed the party, don’t despair—Chihuly’s Venetians is open through January 4, 2016.
