It's Lights Out for Nube

Capitol Hill sustainable style retailer Nube is going dark on Halloween night. The space will be transformed into a "sensory pop up" experience; the pitch black retail space will have guides in NVG goggles helping shoppers navigate so they can focus on the "tactile." It will only be available from October 31 to November 6 at their shop on Pine and 10th Avenue.
“This is a sensory shopping experience that asks what it means to shop in a local, brick and mortar retail store,” said Ruth True, founder and owner of Nube. "We want to start a dialogue and get people to think about what it means to shop locally and to question the alternative." The concept is to bring customers out of their element and place them in a room where they’ll rely on their other senses besides sight. So the popup feels part retail activation, part art installation, and maybe a little part spooky?
